Press Release
The second Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) show, from 28 February to 1 March 2010, is attracting top interiors companies to exhibit and meet with an impressive list of hosted buyers.
Running over two days at Airport Expo, Dubai, UAE, AIME comprises workshops and an exhibition which will showcase cutting-edge design, innovative cabin fittings and technological advancements for the region’s rapidly developing commercial and business aviation market.
Top airlines, including Air Asia X, Bahrain Air, Embraer, Emirates, Etihad and Wataniya Airways are participating in the show’s Hosted Buyer Programme, which brings together decision-makers in cabin interior procurement and selected exhibitors for pre-scheduled meetings during the show’s two days.
Alison Weller, Director of show organiser F&E Aerospace, said: “The second Aircraft Interiors Middle East show is benefiting from the success of last year’s inaugural event, attracting a host of key buyers from across the aviation industry.”
The exhibition is selling well and the F&E Aerospace team is booking space here at the Dubai Airshow.
The most recent booking came from the French Chamber of Commerce & Industry which booked 140sqm for a French Pavilion. They are joined by other top names in the aircraft interiors industry, including Andrew Muirhead, Anker, AvioInteriors, CEBE Network, Eastern Aero Marine, Gerflor, Kydex and Sabeti.
Ms Weller added: “As business recovers from the recent economic downturn, we shall soon see an increase in travel. However, the public is now more cautious in its choices and airlines that are investing in the latest innovations in design and connectivity to enhance the travel experience, without increasing costs for its customers, will become the airline of choice in the future.
“I am confident that this year’s AIME will attract smart decision-makers in procurement who will seek out like-minded exhibitors and we shall see some good deals being made.”
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai’s Department of Civil Aviation, will officially open AIME on Sunday 28 February.
Speakers at the workshops include Gary Doy of the UK’s Design Q and Noureddine Madoui of German design firm Cas4de, who collaborated to produce a unique VVIP Airbus A380 interior for a Middle East customer. Design Q also designed the interior BAE Systems’ Avro Business Jet (ABJ) which is currently on display at Dubai Airshow.
Patrick Brannelly, VP Passenger Communications, Emirates Airline, will take part in a panel discussion on connectivity during the workshops.
AIME is co-located with MRO Middle East 2010, F&E Aerospace’s highly successful maintenance, repair and overhaul event, in conjunction with Aviation Week.
F&E Aerospace will be hosting an AIME 2010 reception in Pavilion No.6 on Monday 16 November, from 4 to 5.30pm. Media are welcome to attend and hear more about the event.
