AIME and MRO Middle East Expecting Launches
When Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) and MRO Middle East open next week at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), attendees at the co-located events can expect to see some of the latest innovations in aircraft interiors, see the future of inflight entertainment, discover solutions for maintenance and meet new companies for the first time, among much more.
The recently rebranded Burrana, formed when digEcor officially acquired the commercial In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) business from Collins Aerospace, will be using AIME as a platform to launch itself to the industry. The acquisition brings together the former Rockwell Collins' PAVES family of seat back and overhead solutions, as well as PAVES™ On-demand, Total Entertainment System (TES), Enhanced Total Entertainment System (ETES) and content services, with digEcor's GLIDE, Engage, Power, PSS and Lighting products.
"Burrana is an indigenous Australian word, meaning to fly, which aligns to our purpose of helping airlines create extraordinary passenger experiences," said David Withers, Burrana CEO. "It is the history of innovation that is the common thread that binds these two organisations together as Burrana, and the main driver for the acquisition."
In addition, Boxmark Leather, one of the world’s leading leather manufacturers, has chosen AIME to reveal a new VIP aircraft seat. Developed independently from conception, the seat will feature elaborate embroidered elements from its “Deluxe Collection” the company plans to make a full reveal when the show opens on the 11 February.
“It’s our fourth time exhibiting here at AIME and each year we see business growing,” Christian Shcroeber, Key Account Manager at Boxmark Leather said during AIME2018. He added, “We make excellent contacts at this show.”
While many of the 330 exhibitors have been exhibiting throughout its ten year run, the growth of the industry in the region has attracted some new exhibitors to both AIME and MRO for 2019. Among them is Spiral Technology who will be releasing a range of Mixed Reality prototypes for Microsoft HoloLens, aimed at increasing productivity of MRO personnel in Q2 2019.
“Major exhibitions like MRO Middle East represent perfect platforms for startups to get visibility and to raise awareness of the breakthrough technologies,” says Konstantyn Shyshkin, CEO of Spiral Technology. “We are looking forward to meeting the leaders of the innovation/engineering teams of the major MRO facilities to brainstorm potential use cases of the Mixed Reality implementation. Secondly, we would like to get an update on the latest developments across the other MRO performance improvement solutions to identify the synergies with capabilities offered by Enterprise Mixed and Augmented Reality.”
“It’s fantastic to see so many new and returning exhibitors choosing AIME and MRO Middle East to launch new products and innovations,” said Caryn McConnachie, Aerospace Director of show organisers Tarsus F&E LLC Middle East. “I look forward to the show opening and seeing business taking place on the show floor alongside the networking opportunities provided.”
The 2019 edition of AIME and MRO Middle East will once again feature the Inflight IFEC Pavilion and awards, a dedicated area for inflight entertainment and connectivity that brings together the leading names in the industry.
The MRO Middle East Summit will take place the day before the show opens, 10 February, at the Conrad Hotel and will feature industry leaders discussing topics including industry dynamics, innovation and predictive maintenance.
“MRO Middle East truly is the place for the industry to come together,” says Lydia Janow, Managing Director/Events & Tradeshows, Aviation Week Network. “The mix of industry leading speakers, new and returning exhibitors and the quality of the trade attendees all make this one of the must-attend events in the region’s aerospace calendar.”
AIME and MRO Middle East take place 11-12 February at DWTC. Visitor tickets are free to industry professionals and registration is live now on aime.aero.
